Code Blossom wins the Hidden Figures Award!

We are incredibly proud to announce that in September of this year our very own Marion Schleifer, Co-Founder of Code Blossom, has won the Hidden Figures Award for the work we’re doing at Code Blossom!

The Hidden Figures Award by TechFace celebrates the extraordinary women in STEM, who excel in their fields and inspire future generations through their remarkable achievements.

“It was a wild ride, and not in a million years did I expect to win such a prestigious award, especially considering who else was nominated and how amazing the other finalists’ achievements are. But I figured the ceremony will be great, full of networking opportunities, and a good opportunity to promote Code Blossom in the Swiss tech space.

To my surprise, I won the award, which I only found out when I was on stage with the other two finalists. The whole event was wonderful: it was so nice to meet other people who are trying to have an impact and who want to change the world. It gave me a real boost both personally and professionally, and it gave me a lot of energy to keep up the work we do at Code Blossom.

The award came at a special time, because Code Blossom turned 1 year old a few weeks after the ceremony. I am deeply grateful to work with an amazing team who want to educate women in developing countries where access to education is hard. As we’ve started our first class from Africa in October, we’re committed to expanding our reach even further, impacting women’s lives, and helping them get the career of their dreams. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Stay tuned!”
